Synopsis/Review

Phet has plans with his girlfriend to open a Thai restaurant in Korea. In an effort to learn his recipes, he goes to help his uncle Phong, the owner of the famous restaurant Phong Phochana. He had had the ability to magically prepare food to everyone's liking. Lately, though, customers had complained of his declining skills. Therefore, Uncle Phong rushes to the countryside to rediscover the beloved flavours from his former lover. Given his goals, Phet has no choice but to follow. Uncle Phong isn't making just one stop in one province, though, and there seems to be something the man is hiding. Photographer Jewan is about to marry Pearl, a disciplined pilates teacher, though he isn't ready. While preparing for the wedding, he gets a photography job in Nan where he gets to know Mae Uisaeng and Waenfa, a teacher of Tai Lue dance trying to preserve the local culture. In the warm community, Jewan and Waenfa's relationship grows, and as Pearl rushes to get marries, Waenfa is organising the Kiang Peng festival of Jewan's little sister Sai Khim and her husband Nan Paeng despite the village headman's opposition. Phai, who was raised by a single mother, one day finds a black onyx ring hidden deep among mother’s clothes. The ring became an important puzzle peice sparking a need to uncover the truth about her father, whom she’s never met or known anything about. With her best friend and shadow Ton by her side to support her, Phai sets off on a journey full of questions and uncertainty. Along the way, they meet Mengla, a man who'd also grown up with the sense of his father's absence.

Drawn together by similar pasts, the three begin piecing together clues that lead them to the Mon Bridge. What starts as a search driven by frustration and confusion slowly becomes a journey of growth. Synopsis/Review

Thiu suffers one loss after another. First, his mother passes away. Then Nam-Oi, a buffalo who was like family, dies too. With both gone, Thiu is overwhelmed by grief and feels completely alone. But life slowly starts to shift. He takes on the care of Thui, Nam-Oi’s orphaned calf, and finds quiet strength in the guidance of a kind local monk. Slowly, Thiu begins to heal.

Then he meets Nuengruethai, a warm and gentle woman whose kindness helps fill the emptiness in his life. As their connection grows, Nuengruethai’s jealous fiancé, Suradet, steals and sells Thui.
