Unlike your usual Thai lakorn where the pra'ek misunderstands nang'ek and reconcile with her at the end, "Pieng Jai Tee Pook Pun" is a romance story about the true love that Seua (Aum) and Mook have for each other. Throughout the whole lakorn, both sides are very understanding and sweet to one another. However, because this is a drama, Seua and Mook go through a series of obstacles until they can live happily ever after.

Payak a.k.a Seua is the only son of Min and a foreigner. Growing up, Seua never saw his father and his mother did not care for him. Seua was raised by his grandparents and Uncle Narong. When Seua's grandfather passed away, Min and Narong inherited some land. Min, who is desperate for money, sold her land and gave Narong 5,000 baht. She was then back to her old self again--- chasing after younger guys for her own pleasure. After the death of his grandfather, Seua was brought up by his grandmother and Uncle Narong, who struggled often to raise him. When Seua was nine, he had the idea of fishing for a living. Ever since, Seua and his Uncle Narong would catch tadpoles and raised them. When they grew into full-size fishes, Seua and his Uncle Narong would sell them to people as pets. When Seua was a little older, they finally opened a small aquarium shop.
Payak or Seua (Aum Atichart Chumnanon) a handsome business man is holding a beautiful pearl necklace in the airport awaiting the arrival of a Muk Pisut the owner of this pearl necklace.

One day, Seua meets Mook Pisoot, a rich girl who is the daughter of a well-known politician and a famous musician. They go to the same school and at first, Seua despised her because he thought she was stuck up like every other rich kid. Instead, Mook is a sweet but weak girl who is going through some family crisis at home. Her parents are divorcing and no one seems to care about her. She has two half siblings, Ploy (Donut) and Phet (Petch). Unlike Phet, Ploy hates Mook. Ploy is actually the stuck up one and cares for no one but herself.

When Mook's parents finally divorce, Mook is forced to go live abroad with her father, Michael Yao. After divorcing Pen, Micheal took his child out of the country for up to 15 years. After Pen is the victim of an attempted assassination Muk Pisut returns to Thailand.

Even though the restaurant business goes well, Edwards seems to think that it isn't enough and that Seua has much more to learn. When Edward learns of Narong's land, he decides that he wants to open a five star hotel. At first, Seua and Narong hesitates but finally gives in when Edward tells them there isn't much to lose. While the hotel is under construction, Edward's conditions worsens. He knows he is going to die soon so he arrange for his sister and first wife to meet him in Thailand. At the same time, Seua has already completed his schooling and is in the city to accept his diploma. When he returns home, he is introduced to his father's sister and first wife who are from England. A week before the hotel's grand opening, Edward passes away and a formal funeral is arranged. Edward's sister and first wife both attend the funeral. Afterwards, Seua is to go to England with them to hear his father's will. Seua becomes rich and the next chapter begins...

Meanwhile, Mook's mother, who is the well known politician is mysteriously murdered. After hearing about her mother's death, the now mature Mook returns to Thailand and decides to spend the rest of her life there. Phet is glad to see his youngest sister home again but Ploy still holds a grudge against Mook. Mook first meets Seua again at her mother's funeral. That's when things get worse. Ploy accuses Seua of murdering her mother. She has no proof whatsoever but claims that Seua murdered her mother due to some business disagreement over the local market. Mook and her brother Phet, believes that Seua is innocent. The police investigates and Seua, of course, comes out clear of all charges pressed against him. However, Ploy still hates both Seua and Mook.
Sup Rerk (Jackrit Amorat) a local politician who is the third husband of Pen Pisut and Seit his nephew treats Muk Pisut’s return casually. A young handsome politician and the only son of Pen Pisut who is fathered by her first husband is very suspicious of his step father. He believes that his step father is behind his mother’s attempted assassination.

Next, the will of Pen Pisoot is finally opened. It turns out that Supanrerk, Pen Pisoot's newly wedded husband, and his nephew Saet, inherits most of the Pisoot's belongings. Phet and Ploy are very angry and shocked to hear that everything that supposedly belongs to them has now fallen into the hands of outsiders. Supanrerk was the one who actually set up the whole scene. He confides that to his nephew, Saet and looks forward to take over Pen Pisoot's position in office. He advises Saet to flirt with one Pen Pisoot's daughter. Saet chooses Mook because Ploy is self- centered and hot- headed. Mook, of course, only has feelings for Seua. Saet begins to run out of ideas so he seeks Ploy for help. Ploy seizes the chance to hurt Mook. She and Saet decides to drug Mook one night so Saet can sleep with her. Luckily, Mook gets away with it and stabs Saet out of fear of being raped. The first person she ran to was Seua because he promised to be always there for her. Mook stays with Seua for the time being until people began to talk. Everyone assumed that Mook ran away with Seua so Seua comes up with a plan. He weds Mook and takes the best care of her. He even opened a music school for her in his hotel. Because Mook is a famous violinist, Mook's school becomes successful. All the while, Seua's mother comes back into his life because he is now rich. Seua pities his mother so he lets her stay with them. However, Seua's mother looks down on Mook because she thought that Mook is an easy gold digging girl that ran to Seua because she has nothing left. So, Seua's mother try to hook him up with Yotit's younger sister, Yui, who has had a crush on Seua since their high school years. At this point, Yotit and Yui's family had gone completely bankrupt. Knowing that Seua is wealthy, Yotit secretly dates Seua's mother for money. He and his father even sold Yui to an elderly, wealthy guy, who agreed to help save their house from being seized if he got Yui as a lesser wife. After a couple of years, the elderly, wealthy guy dies and Yui gets kicked out of his house by the first wife. Yui returns home and decides to pursue Seua while not knowing that her brother Yotit is dating Seua's mother.

Seua only gets wealthier and wealthier. He gets so wealthy and famous to the point that someone decides to murder him. One morning when Seua leaves for work, Mook blacks out. He wants to take her to the hospital but gets called in for a meeting. Mook makes Seua go to the meeting and Seua promises that when he comes back, he will take her to the hospital. Seua never came back. On his way to the meeting, his car had flipped over and Seua was badly injured. He was rushed to the hospital and was in a coma. Mook visits Seua in the hospital but Seua's mother does not let her in to see him. Instead, she has Yui taking care of Seua. Mook blacks out again and her brother Phet insists that she must get checked out. Mook learns that she is pregnant and is very thrilled. She is anxious to tell Seua, who is still in a coma, but Seua's mother has now forbidden Mook near Seua. Mook becomes so stressed that she becomes so weak. It leads her to suffer a miscarriage and makes her even more sad. When Seua finally wakes up, Mook, with the help of Narong, charges in to see Seua. She tells Seua about everything she has gone through but he does not blame her.  
Payak first meets Muk Pisut in a art competition at that time Payak was 15 years old. Muk Pisut won the award for the competition because she was the daughter of Pen and Micheal causing Payak to lose out on the award money to help support his family and attend a special camp, but Kru Wilai comforts Payak to where his heart is softened.

Meanwhile, the police are still investigating Pen Pisoot's murder. It turns out that Supanrerk's assistant had killed her. Later, the assistant murders Supanrerk too. The police find out about and go after him because his next victim is Seua. Since it is hard for him to get to Seua, he kidnaps Mook and lures Seua out. After all they've been through together, Ploy and Seua's mother, Min begins to see the light. When the police finally capture the murderer, Ploy reconciles with Mook. At the end, Seua's mother finally accepts Mook and Mook learns she is pregnant again...
 
 
Once Manat passes away all of his plantations falls into Mintra’s hands and Narong only receives a few acres of land in the middle of a mountain. Mintra sells the plantations and receives a few hundred thousands and moves to Bangkok leaving the rest of her family to battle life alone. In the end Mintra spends all her money and is left staggering back home. Once she finds out that her son has the ability to make money she changes her target to shakedown and leech off her son instead of mother and younger brother.
 
 
 
Many years pass by and Mintra brings countless men with different faces home, but out of all the men that she brings home. Payak hates one in particular and that is Ying Yot who always takes his family problems and tells people about them.
 
 
 
Payak goes on his art camp and Muk Pisut is also there. Kru Wilai is the lecturer. The place they go for their trip is a pearl farm. The owner of the Pearl farm allows the students to take a mollusk which produces the pearls as a souvenir. Payak see’s Muk Pisut crying because P’Nu her nanny abuses her because she wanted the Pearl. Every time P’ Nu hits Muk Pisut and she tells her mother. Her mother never believes her. This causes Payak to feel even more sorry for her.
 
 
 
Muk Pisut gives her painting that wins the competition to Payak along with her White Pearl. Payak promises her that he will keep it for her and when she is grown he will return it to her and also give her his pink pearl. After the trip P’Nu takes Muk Pisut to a market outside of town and she meets with Payak again who is now selling fish. Even though she lived in the city every weekend she would go and help him sell fishes.
 
 
 
Pen Pisut is angry that Muk Pisut lowered herself to associate with a poor person and forbids her from seeing Payak again, but Ploy Pisut wants to see Muk Pisut fall so he gives Pen Pisut the reason that if she allows them to continue seeing each other then it will make her image as a politician appear better because it shows she isn’t bothered by poor people. Pen allows them to continue seeing one another. Narong warns Payak to stay away from Muk Pisut but he refuses to believe him because other then his uncle and grandmother only Muk Pisut is the most generous hearted towards him. The friendship between the two is good until Pen Pisut divorces Micheal. Muk must go and live with her father out of the country. Even if they are far apart Muk and Payak keeps in contact by writing letters to one another on a regular basis.
 
 
 
Mintra brings Ying Yot to stay at their house and Ying Yot uses Tong Ta. Sak Seua brings Payak to see this and he argues with Ying Yot. Ying Yot poor laundry detergent into the fish well causing all the fish to die. Payak is so angry that he beats Ying Yot. Payak is then arrested for attempted murder. The lesson from this is taken seriously when Payak finishes school and continues to pursue and education in law so he is not ignorant to the same mistakes again. Edward Thornton, Payak’s real father returns. Edwards also explains that he has sent money to support Payak to Mintra, but had never realized Mintra spent all the money on herself. Once Mintra finds out her old fling has returned she quickly rushes in home in hopes of getting some money, but once she finds out that Edward is bankrupt on top of that has a bad disease she tells Tong Ta to kick Edward out of the house.
 
 
 
Time goes by and the father and son relations is close. Edward advises Payak to start a restaurant business. Payak’s restaurant is famous among the city and Edward see’s that Payak’s restaurant is stable so he continues to persuade Payak to start a 5 Star hotel business on top of Narong’s land which a street was recently built to reach. Payak works and goes to school for 6 years and graduates with a degree. Sup Rerk see’s the potential in Payak and invites him to join his party in which he wants to separate and run himself, but Pen Pisut refuses to allow it. Sup Rerk is angry with being the shadow of Pen, but is unable to do anything but hide anger in his heart.
 
 
 
Once his hotel is stable Edward whose condition worsen dies. Alisha Bate the younger daughter of Edward and his main wife invites Payak to England to take care of Edwards will. Once he is wealthy Payak builds a bigger house then the one they already had and builds a bigger room for his grandmother who is getting older. He hires Nok a nurse to take care of his grandmother and often leaves a large amount of money with Nok. The money perishes quickly and Payak asks Nok for the truth and Nok admits that Mintra takes the money.
 
 
 
Payak goes to join Pen Pisut’s funeral when he is attacked and chased away by Ploy Pisut and accused of murdering Pen. Muk Pisut defends Payak and says he has nothing to do with her mothers demise. Yu Nah  who is the family attorney opens the will and it appears that Sup Rerk gets rights to half of the house. Muk and Payak promises to get married once everything with her mother’s funeral and case is over. Pet Pisut and Ploy Pisut is sure that Sup Rerk has committed fraud, but are unable to do anything. Seit who wants to use Muk as a stairwell into politics slips sleeping meds to the servant and attempts to rape Muk, but she fights with all her might and stabs him before running away in a panic state.
 
 
 
Payak picks Muk who is shaken up and is very angry and wants to go and confront Seit, but Naron stops him. Seit and Ploy who is angered comes to Payak’s house in attempts to take Muk home, but Payak threatens to call the police. Seit and Ploy is forced to return home. Muk staying with Payak causes her reputation to be tarnished so to protect her Payak proposes. He tells her that he always loved her and will always love her. The two have a small ceremony and Ploy’s love quickly becomes anger. Payak takes Muk on a honeymoon and when they return Muk cancels all of her performances and opens a small music school inside Payak’s hotel.
 
 
 
Payak is on his way to the hotel when his car is unable to brake causing him to fall into a hill. Payak is severely injured and is left in a comatose state. The police believes that his brake lines were cut. Mintra and Nok says they saw Muk go down to the car garage before the accident. This causes Muk to be a suspect in attempting to kill Payak.
 
 
 
Muk finds out she is pregnant and wants to go and tell Payak, but she is unable to see him in the hospital because of Mintra orders. Mintra lets Yoh tit come and manage the hotel in Payak’s place. Narong is unable to watch his sister spend all of his nephews money so he hires Chaiyuwat an attorney to come and figure a way to relieve Mintra of the title of Payak’s financial manager.
 
 
 
Pet Pisut is angry with his step father for frauding his mothers will. He also suspects the attempted murder of Payak is Sup Rerk. Pet Pisut and Sup Rerk argues. After arguing Pet leaves as he always does. Pet Pisut returns home with news that Sup Rerk has died. Seit is so upset he nearly goes crazy because the truth is that Sup Rerk is actually his father. The reason they had to lie is because Sup Rerk had relations with Seit’s mother who is actually his sister in law. Seit is sure that Pet murdered his father. Pet is advised not to leave the district because he is the suspect in step fathers murder case.
 
 
 
Yotiga the younger sister of Yotit who secretly loves Payak feels bad that her brother is spending Payak’s money and warns him, but Yotit yells at her. He also tries to convince her to kill Payak.
 
 
 
So many problems are thrown at her to where Muk has a miscarriage. She is so upset that she goes and manage to see Payak. Payak hears the cries of the woman he loves and awakens! Everyone is so occupied with the derranged Muk and doesn’t realize he is awake. Once he finds out that so many thing has happened causing Muk to have a miscarriage he is very saddened. Payak tells Pet to bring his lover to prove the truth that he is not guilty of murdering Sup Rerk. Pet Pisut doesn’t want to endanger his lover so he confesses that his lover is a man. Muk is shocked that her brother is gay.
 
 
 
Yohtit secretly steals Mintra’s money. Once Mintra is broke she goes and asks Payak’s money. Payak tells Mintra to tell him the truth about the brake in exchange for money. Mintra reveals Muk is not the culprit and the case is cleared and Muk is no longer a suspect. Pet is still stressed about his case and he fears that Yingyot may be the one who murdered Sup Rerk. While in Sup Rerk’s funeral Mintra recieves a call from Yingyot who wants money. This lets Seit and Yuna figure out that Yingyot is hiding at some resort.
 
 
 
Yuna goes and see Yingyot in attempts to murder him because Yingyot knows that Yuna killed Sup Rerk in order to cover his tracks. Sup Rerk had found out that Yuna embezzled half of Pen’s fortune so Yuna had no choice but to kill Sup Rerk. Before Yuna could kill Yingyot the police surrounds the area. Yuna then finds out that it was Payak’s plan with the police to find the real killer. Pen’s children get their house and fortune back. Pet is free of his charges and is relieved.
 
 
 
Her white pearl necklace Muk wanted it back. Payak knew that the necklace was with Yotiga and goes to get it back from him. Yotiga who is about to move refuses to give the necklace him and wants to keep it as a reminder of him. Payak gives her back the necklace that she had ponded and she gives the necklace back. Muk is happy that the necklace is back and she puts the necklace around Payak’s neck and make him promise they will be together forever.

It turns out that Supanrerk's assistant had killed her. Later, the assistant murders Supanrerk too. The police find out about and go after him because his next victim is Seua. Since it is hard for him to get to Seua, he kidnaps Mook and lures Seua out. After all they've been through together, Ploy and Seua's mother, Min begins to see the light. When the police finally capture the murderer, Ploy reconciles with Mook. At the end, Seua's mother finally accepts Mook and Mook learns she is pregnant again...
