New & Jiew is a female duo group that made their debut on September 27, 2005.
New & Jiew was a contestant on the Star in 2003. New finished 4th and Jiew finished 2nd.
New was a contestant on The Mask Singer season 4 where she finished 2nd to Tanont Chumroen. She sang in the Bee mask, which was led by Abomasnow and IndyCar, and giving Abomasnow their best result in the show.
New inspirational vocals are Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, and Alicia Keys, with a new range of 3.8-octave widths (Eb3 - G6).
As for Jiew, she won The Mask Project A, singing in The Sun mask. With Jiew's win, it was the first win for a female mask since Lydia Sarunrat Visutthithada in season 2.
Jiew was the only non–WTA player to successfully qualify for the 2018 Swiss Open – Women's Singles main draw by qualifying. However, she drew no.20 seed Mihaela Buzărnescu in the first round and was defeated.
Jiew was influenced by her favorite singers: Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and Beyonce.
